An upgrade of Iphone 3 to Iphone 6

And just to throw in a wrinkle, itunes version 9 is on the pc.

Backup old phone using Itunes 9, and also do a sync (previously setup, using Outlook).  Copy over any pictures using explorer.

Iphone 6:
  Made a few test calls.
  Then do a Reset : Settings, General, Reset, Erase all Content and Settings

On startup of phone 6, select "Restore from Itunes Backup"

Plug Iphone 6 into pc, fire up Itunes...and do not see the Iphone.

Run the setup for new Itunes (ver 12).  Let it install into old Itunes program folder.

When done, Itunes (v12) does see the Iphone 6, and asks about restoring from the recent backup.
  It winds up doing a sync at the end.  Everything is back in place (with a few exceptions noted below). and we notice all the pics and vids are brought back also.
  Exceptions: no text messages, no email is setup and so no content.

In the Extensions tab, to find the ID of the “This extension is managed and cannot be removed or disabled” malicious extension, enable the “Developer mode” by putting a check-mark in its box as seen below.
Next, you we will need to write down the ID and the name of the “This extension is managed and cannot be removed or disabled” malicious extension, then we can close Google Chrome
